Headache and High Blood Pressure
MY FAMILY MEMBER , FEMALE AGE 60YRS, IN NOV 2010 SHE HAD VIRAL FEVER, NORMAL COLD, BUT SHE WAS BUSY IN HOUSEHOLD WORK, this fever was over , but mucus or phlegm with cough continued for month and half.in nov mid 2010 her BP was raised about 220/110, she had headache and symptoms of less oxygen in body , it was lowered (BP) WITH Telma 40, and then she had anemia, the hb WAS 9.5 , SHE WAS PUT ON INHALER BECAUSE OF BRONCHITIS, SHE WAS NEVER ASTHMATIC,after seson changed , inhaler was withdrawn as doctors advised, and her BP tablet telma 20 wwas also stopped as doctor advised. there was slight puffiness on cheeks and eyes upperside.later she was given iron thru homeopathy, she was ok for about a year, now again BP was 160/90 in stress and tension and hardwork in june, again she was having hEADACHE in july 2012,slight puffiness on eyes and cheeks ,all the tests in 2010 and now in 2012 are normal including S.Creatinine,but ldl cholestrol was 163 this time in 2012, in 2010 ldl chlostrol was 249.body wt. is about 83kg , height is 5`, and now Hb is 10 only. in july when bp was 160/90, she was put on telma 40, but she stoped taking for about 10 days, then the symptoms were headache, and bp was raised again she was put on telma 20 till today, but bp sometime increased becose of tension or so it was 190/97, one day and it was lowered itself after 2hrs,
pls tell me wht`s the prob. i will be highly thankful to you, she was having little cervical prob also .but now not acute.
From what you have described, it is possible that she is having a headache with high blood pressure. I say this because it sounds like the headache occurs every time the blood pressure is elevated.
A headache of this sort can be pounding, but sometimes if the pressure is only slightly elevated, it may be a dull diffuse pain all over the head.
Treatment involves keeping the blood pressure under control by reducing stress, exercise and taking medication as prescribed.
Next time she is at the doctor, be sure to mention the problem.
