HOPE AND HEADACHES:

Lately I have been trying to get more into what is going on in the internet world of headaches and migraines. I have subscribed to a few blogs and done the "Google Alert" thing where Google tells me when someone posts to a headache blog. (Very useful actually.)

Most of the time people are posting about their latest headache and quite amazingly, many are unaware that they are having migraines. But every once in awhile..a story stands out. This particular story is from Sue who was recently diagnosed with chronic daily migraines...yes migraines not just headache.

Sue talks about the power of hope and how her headache doctor gave that to her recently. Her post also discusses the aspect of spirituality in chronic pain. I paused when I read it because it reminded me how responsible I am as a practitioner to my patients who come to me for just that...hope.

Hope is powerful..it can lift your spirit, recharge you to learn and try new things and it can help you believe that there is a way out of the pain. Read Sue's post and perhaps it will help you too..
