New Year-New Headaches

Welcome to the New Year and a new decade! I know, I know...everyone and every commercial right now is after you to set goals for the year, lose weight, eat right, take vitamins.

The list goes on and on doesn't it? I personally make only one or two goals per year. And then revise them as time goes on! One is to keep working on this site which has really taken off thanks to the Ask The Expert page.

Many people from the US and several different countries have written in with questions about their headaches and how to manage them.

So as far as your headaches are concerned how about making just one change this year? If you aren't exercising..try to start. I realize that many people have other conditions, like fibromyalgia, that may make this difficult, but do try.

Even my fibro patients have been able to start swimming as long as the pool is somewhat heated to avoid spasms in cold water.

Think about food items as migraine triggers. Keep a diary for 3 months to figure out which migraine food triggers you should avoid.

I do have a full page on headache resolutions for the New Year. You might want to review some additional recommendations.
