Coupons For Copay Rebates
Here is the latest in the coupon rebate wars as I call them. The makers of Frova, Endo Pharmaceuticals is now giving a $35 coupon in the US to help with copays and I believe through a sign up system you can get more coupons.
You can visit the Frova site here, or just click on the picture of the coupon. HINT: If you sign up for any of these use a free email account at Yahoo or Google to avoid being inundated with emails!
For those of you taking the new drug Treximet, Glaxo-Smith-Kline also has a rebate and theirs is $50, again with further rebates if you sign up for email news. You can find their rebate here, or again, click on the photo of the rebate.

Telcagepant Update
If you have been busy lately (and who isn't?), the new CGRP receptor blocker, Telcagepant was withdrawn. This drug was being studied by Merke and in clincal trials apparently it caused elevated liver enzymes.This drug was meant to be taken at the onset of a migraine, one or two doses max within 24 hours. Therefore, the fact that such a small amount of a drug (i.e. not taken daily) could elevated enzymes is a big concern. The FDA thought so too and pulled it.
Sigh..oh well! The fight still goes on for new medications.
Although Merke does not have coupons at the present time, they do have a free relaxation podcast that you can download here.
What's New At Headache-Adviser.com?

I have also just registered for the International Headache Society Conference in Sept in Philadelphia, PA. It should be great with all kinds of new info. I suspect that will create an entire newsletter itself!
